Oxbow Essentials Chinchilla Food is a complete, uniform, alfalfa-based food for chinchillas, enriched with stabilised vitamin C.

Composition

Feeding recommendations

• Young (under 1 year): unlimited food, with unlimited grass hay and alfalfa.
• Adults (over 1 year): 1/8 to 1/4 cup per day, with unlimited grass hay; alfalfa only as an occasional treat.
• These are guidelines: if your chinchilla is overweight or underweight, talk to your vet.
• Transition: week 1 — 3 parts current food + 1 part new; week 2 — half and half; week 3 — 1 part current + 3 parts new; week 4 — new food only.
