Oxbow Essentials Young Guinea Pig Food is a complete, uniform, alfalfa-based food for young (under 6 months), pregnant or nursing guinea pigs, with more protein, calcium and stabilised vitamin C.

Feeding recommendations

• Young (under 6 months), pregnant or nursing: pellets ad libitum, plus grass hay ad libitum.
• Alfalfa hay may be given in small amounts.
• These are guidelines: if your pet is over- or underweight, talk to your veterinarian.
• Transition: week 1 — 3 parts current food + 1 part new; week 2 — half/half; week 3 — 1 part current + 3 new; week 4 — new food only.
